The caravan is comfortably furnished and heated and sleeps eight persons in three double bedrooms and two sofa beds.  Accommodation includes a fully equipped kitchen with gas cooking, fridge, microwave, hot and cold running water, bathroom with WC and shower and a separate WC. The sitting room has a southerly aspect with seating for a large family or group. Pillows and blankets are provided, but sheets, pillowcases and towels are not.  A duvet for the bed is recommended during the early and later parts of the season.  The caravan has it's own designated parking space within a few yards.

The rules for the use of the caravan are:

Eligible Personnel

Priority will be given to Junior Ranks i.e. Corporals and below.

Senior Ranks and Officers can apply and if 3 months before the proposed date of letting no Junior Rank has applied, the booking will be confirmed.

Non AGC personnel, including civilians and ex-service personnel will be permitted if no other booking has been taken.  These personnel will be charged an additional rate equivalent to that payable by Sergeants and above for the rental cost for the next increment higher.

Bookings

No booking will be taken for the next year until September of the current year, this is to give personnel on operational tours the opportunity to book.

A deposit of £50.00 per week must accompany all applications for a booking, this will be refunded in the event of a Junior Soldier having priority at any time up to 3 months before the date of letting.  All bookings will be confirmed 3 months before the proposed date of letting.

 Any cancelled booking, which cannot be re-let, will forfeit the deposit.  No booking will be accepted without a deposit.

Rates

The Rate of hire varies throughout the year with the more popular weeks, i.e. August being the most expensive.  An additional premium is also added for periods that include a Bank Holiday.

The exact cost can be confirmed prior to booking.  The amount charged represents good value and is less than half the equivalent commercial rate charged for similar caravans on the site.

The booking periods are from Sunday to Sunday and will commence usually from Easter each year.  This can be as early as March as is the case in 2006.  All bookings are to be made to the Regimental Accounts Clerk in RHQ AGC on 01962 887630 who will advise dates available.

The Caravan will not be hired out to all male or all female groups.
