Introduction
Membership to the AGC Regimental Association
for serving personnel is
open to all serving members of the AGC. The rate of subscription
is one day's pay per year. This is payable through your pay
account in monthly instalments. Subscribing members enjoy a range of benefits including the Corps Journal each November and
are eligible for a wide variety of grants.
Regimental Subscriptions are administered under the ‘Payroll Giving
Scheme’ and collected monthly from pay accounts and is shown as 'Service
Day's Pay Giving'. The
Payroll Giving Scheme has been in operation for many years and is widely
used by the civilian sector to allow employees to give to charity
through their salary. One of the benefits of this scheme is that it
allows the MOD to deduct Regimental Subscriptions from pay accounts
before tax is calculated. This means that the individual will not pay
tax on his/her Regimental Subscriptions.
